Roy Brooks Posted July 29, 2007 Posted July 29, 2007 I just found out about this place today. I am a working guitar player in the DC/Virginia/Maryland area. And I have two Heritage guitars- an H575 and a single pickup TV yellow H137.
Dick Seacup Posted July 29, 2007 Posted July 29, 2007 Welcome to the Club, Roy! Is music your primary occupation? I've always thought it would be cool to be able to make a living playing guitar. Lack of ability seems to be holding me back, though.
GuitArtMan Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 Welcome Roy. Pics, pics, we must have pics!!! ;D

Thundersteel Posted August 6, 2007 Posted August 6, 2007 Music is all I do. You're lucky! Are you in a band, or are you a solo artist? I've been trying to get a band together for a year, and I haven't had any success.
ashaffer Posted August 6, 2007 Posted August 6, 2007 Hey Roy, I just joined today and I am in the MD/VA/DC area too. I've owned Heritage guitars for about 5 years and have a Golden Eagle (modded with a handwound Kent Armstrong floating PAF and Benedetto ebony tailpiece and finger rest) and a H-550 (stock) currently, although I have owned a H-535 and a 150. Glad to see another local on the board. -Al

I've been trying to get a band together for a year, and I haven't had any success. I have only been in Maryland for a month or so and am still getting to know folks who I hope to gig with eventually. Since I have lived here I have played maybe five or six paying gigs as a freelance guitar player. I usually work with bands or duos.
