Heritage lovers go to you tube and punch in wolfegtrs on the search. Yes it's spelled wolfegtrs. Killer Heritage models and tones. For those that haven't heard that great vintage guitar sustain you'll hear it hear. I'm pretty computer dumb so if someone could post a link for others that would be super cool. ENJOY

Thanks

Oh man, Heritage + Swart= sweet sonic ear candy! I know this is about the guitars but can we just acknowledge how freakin cool those Swart AST amps look?  8)

Plexi, thanks for the info!  Mars, thanks for the link!  This would be a fantastic idea for Wolfe Guitar (or any instrument dealer, for that matter)) to do on a larger scale showcasing the sounds of the guitars, various pickups, amps, effects, etc. they carry.

Good find, plexi!  Are you near Wolfe in Fla?

I'm with you, jazz, on that those Swart amps.  I like 6v6s anyway and they the AST just nails that tone and have a great tremelo.  A little pricey and the control layout is a little 'too' vintage perhaps - at least moving them to the top would be a little more user friendly.  But I'd like one anyway, I could live w/the controls  8)

That's definitely a good way to get people interested and to let them get a little feel for the guitars.  One day I' going to have to take a trip over there!

Jay's been busy.  Both with the clips and the emails.  Some tasty stuff there.  Just might have to check out those swart amps.

Yes- We're fortunate to have friend & player Joe Cromey to do the video's for us. Joe comes in a half day each week, sets up the amp/ guitar & camera- plays the demo or shoots Graham, does a quich edit & posts the video. We'll do about a half dozen each week, so look for more. This is new for us & we're learning. Some ideas we've had are: try a mic on the amp instead of the camcorder's mic as we're now doing them / we've done a few with my still camera light for better lighting / Use different players, and we've invited some fine local guys AND a couple of star level guys, so look for some new faces & a variety of styles on the videos. Heritage will always be my focus for these because that's where my heart is. PLEASE e-mail me with comments, suggestions & guitar & amp combination requests. I appreciate your input. e-mail: jay@wolfeguitars.com

Hi Jay ...

I was checking out those videos last night, very cool clips indeed. Great idea putting them up on YouTube.

How about a tour of the shop in video form ? I'm sure a lot of the guys here would like that.

I wholehearted agree. Jay usually has around 400 guitars & basses in stock, along with amps, gear, etc. It's

definately a guitar player's paradise!

I think we need to have a Jupiter pilgrimage one of these days! (AKA PSP South!)

Jay, the You Tube stuff is great. I predict it will definately benefit in added sales. Takes the whole "what's the guitar sound like" out of play.

I would like to add one request. In the intro desrciption to these guitars the model and pick up combination is addressed. Please add to the description the weight on the guitar. Many many players/consumers are weight conscious now. Especially with Heritage, there are many heavy Heritages out there that can become deal breakers. Just saying that if a potential customer hears the great tone on You Tube and can also get the weight then it's a win win for everyone.

Also I think the use of Honduran as a tonewood needs to be reinforced. After all I bought My 150 once I knew Honduran was used instead of the typical G-style Mahogony. I went on a search and found a Killer 150.

Thanks for your help

I've been wondering about this.  Is it really possible to get a good idea of what a guitar,

amp or effect sounds like through a pair of dinky little computer speakers ?  (not to mention

heavily compressed mp3).  And since people don't usually buy all three at once it's kind of

hard to tell which one is contributing what or how they interact.  I've listened to some effects

clips, that I really liked, but I can't be sure that's what I'll get once I plug one into my system.

Jay is definitely on the cutting edge with these new product sound/video clips.

I'd like to suggest he do a few comparison clips so potential buyers can hear different guitars through the same amps/effects.  (e.g. H-150 HRW;  H-150 Seths;  H-150 Lollar P90, etc.)

you can get a nice set of speakers for your computer (w/subwoofer even) for <$100 and it'll transform your PC or Mac into a music machine.

(+ a bump for Jay's youtube project - good job, Graham!)
