Tone Pros part number?

I'm getting a little buzz from the roller bridge on my  '92 150.  I've considered switching to a tonepros setup (bridge and maybe tailpiece) and while I'm at it, for the '04 535 as well.  I would hope to just "pull out it and pop 'em in."  This is something I've never done.  Any experiences from you fine folk?  Part # anyone?

i bought one from this guy

great deal but i had to switch out the tailpiece bushings witch was much easier than i expected and did not damage the guitar whatsoever.

I bought a Duesenberg aluminium tailpiece recently and the guitar technician  had to pull out the bushings, too. No big deal if you have the right tools.

we just dropped a small screw in the bushing hole and tightened the post down wich forced the bushing out... not the most technical of tools but worked like a charm  ;D

Matched Bridge & Tailpiece Sets

"LP" Series matching Bridge & Tail Sets to fit most guitars:

"LP" S02=TP6 Bridge and T1ZS Matching Tailpiece (US thrd),

Starting at $116.50

I believe that is correct.

Or, do what I plan on doing: I bought some small allen-head screws, and I'm just going to drill out my bridge/tailpiece, and then tap the holes to match the screw threads.

If you use that method it's usually a good idea to heat the bushing up with a soldering iron first. If there is any glue holding the bushing in that will melt it and make removal a lot easier and safer.

If it works, it works :)

FYI - After taking some measurements on my 535, that does appear to be the right part # for the set.  I found a guy on ebay who claims to sell these for 15-25% off these WD Music prices.  The complete set can be found here.

I'm guessing that since my 150 has the same hardware, the same measurements would apply, hence the same part # would work.

Follow-up.  I just got the pricing from this guy.  WD Music charges $116 for a set of bridge and tailpiece.  He quoted me $95 shipped for 1 set and for 2 sets $180 shipped.  Looks like I'll be doing my 535 and my 150!  ;D

If you're interested in contacting him, let me know.

I want to get a new Tone Pros bridge/tail piece in gold. Do I need the small post or large post? I am thinking small. Here is a link to what I think I need, let me know what you guys think.

I forgot the link in the last post. Here it is.

That would appear to be the right one nat120, at least that's the same size that worked for me. If you want to make sure just take the measurements. I took the strings off my 535 and measured it up but I don't think you would have to. Once I determined the measurements of my 535 I ordered 2 sets and they fit my 150 as well. It made a difference on both guitars but the 150 just came ALIVE! If you want the guy's email I bought them from you wouldn't be paying full price. There's a pretty decent discount available.

Actually you would have to remove the tailpiece to measure since you can't see the posts under the Schallers.
