peterbright Posted March 25, 2009 Author Posted March 25, 2009 While we were corresponding, I did get an email from them that seemed aimed at someone else & specifically mentioned the solid block. They may have become confused in the feeding frenzy.
CJTopes Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 He asked me if I was looking at a right or left handed one and then never replied. Oh well, I was inquiring about a price, I think it may have been out of my reach anyhow! I never did find out, whats the ballpark price on the prospects?
Paul P Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n144/peterbright/prospector.jpg[/img] Not a great picture but you can see it better out of the case. Very nice guitar. I like the shape of the body, it's well balanced. Not too big, not too small.
peterbright Posted March 25, 2009 Author Posted March 25, 2009 I'm interested in comparing it to a Gibson CS-336F which weighs about the same.
brentrocks Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 That is a beauity Peter! I see it has Schaller hardware..it must be a little older? but looks to be in minty condition. ENJOY!
Thundersteel Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 I'm not wild about the pickguard. A wood one in natural would be the ticket. I agree. The one in the picture looks too yellow. A flamed maple PG would really set it off.
peterbright Posted March 25, 2009 Author Posted March 25, 2009 http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n144/peterbright/IMG_0276.jpg[/img] I wonder if I could do something with this thing I found lying around.
Paul P Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 Lying around ? Well, if you really like contrast... How about no pickguard at all ? I can't make up my mind about pickguards, especially the Heritage ones. I like their shape more the Gibson's but I find that they also change the overall look of the guitar more than do the G's. They add a strong fancy-dressed country gentleman kind of look.
peterbright Posted March 26, 2009 Author Posted March 26, 2009 I'd refinish it & possibly reshape it as well.

I think that where I have eased my mind on this is, if I got it with a pickguard, I will keep it on there... if it didn't, I am not worried about it.
peterbright Posted March 26, 2009 Author Posted March 26, 2009 Using a PG saves my guitars a lot of pick damage.
