pegleg32 Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 I have had a Line 6 Spider Jam amp for 2 years. Very good for somethings, but not as a guitar amp. I use it as a powered speaker, I use the pre-recorded back up tracks to practice with, I record backgrounds on it to practice with and a host of other things that is is very useful for. However I play through a Fender Blues Jr with BillM mods, JJ/Tela tubes, and an Eminence Cannibus Rex speaker. Very nice sound. Pegleg
golferwave Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 Sorry if my opinion is offensive to those of you who like the Line 6 amps. These things sound like a crappy transistor radio.
hubberjub Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 Anybody have any Line6 amps? What is you opinion of them? I am looking at the Bogner models. Thanks I've got a lot of Line 6 stuff but I would never use their amps or modelers live. I think they sound fine for recording direct but they don't cut it when they are cranked up on stage. That being said, I use a Variax bass to cut demos with and use Amp Farm to record my guitar. I also have an FM-4 and MM-4 on my pedal board. They make some great stuff. The amps would be good if you are in a cover band and need to switch between a lot of different sounds.
