...talked to Pete yesterday. He is shooting nitro on it....should be ready to buff late next week?

went over to drop off the pups to Pete today (SD pearly gates w. nickel covers)....he has the 3rd coat of nitro on and is sanding it today...it is close!!!!

I like the bound headstocks and unbound as well. To call unbound headstocks "cheesy" is a bit harsh I think, especially considering that the most coveted LP & 335 from the 50s & 60s had unbound headstocks.

The poplar is actually really warm...i expected it to be really bright w/ the ebony board.

 

The PGs sound great too!!!

It's another poplar body? How'd I miss that? Still, very cool looking guitar, Brent. All 3 have been very nice guitars. You should have kept all 3. What am I saying ... you'll have them all back within a year. :D

Sweet! That turned out the best of the three, I think.

 

I played an actual '81 Silverburst this weekend, though it's now more of a sickly green burst. Sweet guitar, but I'm sure it was a silly asking price (I didn't even bother to ask).
