barrymclark Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 The 140 arrived! I will get a picture of it and post when I get home this evening!
Dick Seacup Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 I think there's a bylaw about posting this kind of thing without having pics in hand. Where's our Chief Etiquette Enforcement Officer? :police:
fxdx99 Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 What's here? You got a 140? Geez, shoulda said something about that earlier... Congrats - that looks like a REALLY fun guitar.
slider313 Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 Yeah, your sure to get a no pic ticket if you don't post it soon. ;D
barrymclark Posted April 17, 2009 Author Posted April 17, 2009 . I had a hard time getting on the forums last night and this morning. Sorry for the delay. Got the new pickup rings and pickup covers on! I have the Vox out and the windows were rattling. ...my poor wife.
Gitfiddler Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Looks great, Barry. Is there any special wiring set up for the three p'ups?
michaeljames Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 :'( Barry! You took the 'scratch plate' off!! I like the pickup covers! Enjoy it! ;D
barrymclark Posted April 17, 2009 Author Posted April 17, 2009 Looks great, Barry. Is there any special wiring set up for the three p'ups?Nope. Just the normal triple wiring. Bridge-Middle+Neck-Neck.
barrymclark Posted April 17, 2009 Author Posted April 17, 2009 :'( Barry! You took the 'scratch plate' off!! I like the pickup covers! Enjoy it! ;D Yeah. I played with it on a bit... it was kinda in the way. So... it is in the case along with the original pickup rings. All mods are completely reversible.
barrymclark Posted April 17, 2009 Author Posted April 17, 2009 It is blue... I think it is supposed to be... but it has more of this green hue to it. Really cool. I can't get over how light this is too!

barrymclark Posted April 17, 2009 Author Posted April 17, 2009 Very unique. I dig that one. Congrats!!Thanks! I am all kinds of pumped!
barrymclark Posted April 21, 2009 Author Posted April 21, 2009 Nope. Just the normal triple wiring. Bridge-Middle+Neck-Neck.Correction. Bridge-Bridge+Middle-Neck.
smurph1 Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 Nice..Didn't even Know they made a three pickup model..
barrymclark Posted April 23, 2009 Author Posted April 23, 2009 Nice..Didn't even Know they made a three pickup model..I am guessing from the reponses here and from Ren at Heritage that there wasn't really one. This is sort of a one off.
barrymclark Posted April 23, 2009 Author Posted April 23, 2009 Cool..That makes it even sweeter..Yeah. I got a heck of a deal from michaeljames on it. I am playing it a lot and daily. Just so easy to play. That rendition of "Ah! vous Dirai-je, Maman!" in another thread is played on it. Little bit of slop but I recorded it for me to play against so I didn't get in the Little-Red-Light Zone to play. The Heritage sounds pretty sick gained out too. That through my Vox I can yank Black Sabbath-esque tones out of it and I am just as happy as can be!
shook494 Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 I just checked your 140 again. That thing is just sick!!!!! How does that middle humbucker sound? I always wondered what it would be like.
barrymclark Posted April 23, 2009 Author Posted April 23, 2009 I just checked your 140 again. That thing is just sick!!!!! How does that middle humbucker sound? I always wondered what it would be like.Check it out here! http://www.heritageownersclub.com/forums/i...pic,4461.0.html It is a song I am recording for my kid (Due in late May/early June). I am using the middle position which has the bridge and middle active. Hokey, but fun to play.
Dick Seacup Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 I am using the middle position which has the bridge and middle active. Hokey, but fun to play. I had a Steinberger that was H-S-H with a mini-toggle (bridge-bridge+neck-neck) and the tone knob had been converted to a single-coil (middle) 'blend' to control how much of it was mixed in. It was a lot of fun and very cool. I wonder how something like that would work with three hums. Or, if it even would work.

I am still trying to wrap my head around three pickups. haha. Although... I REALLY like the sound of this with the bridge and middle going. REALLY nice. I did the bridge and neck deal too.
