Jazzpunk Posted April 30, 2009 Author Posted April 30, 2009 Today was supposed to be the day but UPS was a no show. Driver logged that he attempted delivery but I was home and know for a fact that it's BS. Shoulda been holdin' her right now! :'(
tulk1 Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 Today was supposed to be the day but UPS was a no show. Driver logged that he attempted delivery but I was home and know for a fact that it's BS. Shoulda been holdin' her right now! :'( That sucks!! And yet, it seems to be a rather common experience with the delivery guys these days. We get that all the time it seems. And not just UPS. Our FedEx guy is notorious for that. So, maybe today?
Jazzpunk Posted April 30, 2009 Author Posted April 30, 2009 That sucks!! And yet, it seems to be a rather common experience with the delivery guys these days. We get that all the time it seems. And not just UPS. Our FedEx guy is notorious for that. So, maybe today? Well, HERE SHE IS!!! I'm a little bummed about the nicks/blemishes around the headstock but they're pretty minor. Pretty sure they're from people knocking her around a bit while she was at Wolfe's shop (waiting to hear back from Jay concerning this). Otherwise it is pure love! Some minor details with the binding that aren't super clean but I actually like that. It's hand made for sure! The neck feels great. It's my first archtop so it'll take a bit of getting used to but I was already feelin' right at home as soon as I strummed my first chord. The 575 body really fits me like a glove. Feels nice and comfy sittin' down and runnin' through some chord progressions. Acoustic sound is bright as I'd expected which suits me just fine. Plugged in she sounds awesome! Perhaps I'll experiment with other pick ups down the road but right now I'm very happy with the range of tones I'm getting ( I am on the hunt for another amp but that's an entirely different thread!).
Jazzpunk Posted May 1, 2009 Author Posted May 1, 2009 BTW, the finish is full of nice brown overtones and not near as reddish as it appears in the pics. I really need a new camera!
backline Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 Beautimous! I love my H575. Looks a lot like yours. I've had plenty of guitars over the decades, including nice archtops, but for my needs now the H-575 is a GREAT match for my tones, technique, and comfort zone. I love its sound and playability, size, and looks too. Did I mention we've bonded?
