Just wondering..Anyone know the approximate prices of a H-137 with Lollar P-90s? I really love the stripped down vibe of those guitars..Plus once I know the price, I can calculate how many trips to the plasma center will be needed..LOL I think I may need to go the used route, but who knows..Rock on..

I think the new 137s do come with Lollars. I could be wrong.

I talked to Ed at Wolfe and he said you can expect $1750-$1850 for standard H137 depending on finish.

Yeah..Those "Special" and "Junior" type guitars have always been cool to me..Pure Rock-n-Roll..You can play em hard, gig with em and they always seem to bounce right back..

That's funny!! I had a LP special up till a year ago, when I got a chance to start playing bass with a band that actually has gigs..(That's pretty rare in West Virginia) So I traded it for an old Bassman amp..But I still miss that guitar..Here's the funny part..I paid $700 for it!! Plus I complained about the price for months..But then recently I spent $1100 for my 140, and was glad to have it..Go figure..LOL

Hey... bass is fun instrument. Gigs arent hard to find in Atlanta. Good ones are. haha.

Yeah..It really is..I just had to grow up a bit and realize that being a bass player is just as important as playing any other instruments..(If not even more so) Our drummer is really easy to work with..He makes my job pretty easy..So we stand back, have a beer and let the singer and guitarists sweat it out..LOL..I really like it because we are starting to jel as a band..we know where the changes are pretty well now..

Very cool.

I, unfortunately, don't have a lot of time to do music with a group.

I am still looking for that thing where I can truly enjoy myself and grow as a musician... as well as liking the material.

Sadly, improv is an area I am SORELY lacking in. I pretty just sit around and write. Coming up with stuff on the fly is a skill I am trying to learn. By yourself, that is pretty hard.

Yeah..Finding time is always difficult..It does get boring practicing by myself..I am lucky (or is it unlucky) that I am not in a relationship, and I live by myself, so I can pretty much do what I want..So I am working with 2 groups, One on bass, One on guitar..The last girlfriend I had, she thought the music was too much competition..So It goes..I can't stop being a musician..It's who I am..But anyway..Maybe you can find someone to come over and strum a few chords with you just for fun..It really should be that way, if you ask me..UH OH I'm getting on my soapbox..Sorry..

I have that on occasion. Just nearly as much as I would like. haha. With a baby soon coming... that time is even more difficult.

Found a 137 on the bay with lollars on it. Thought you might be interested. Wasn't sure what your budget is on it.

Put it on The Bay section.

Thought his name was Edward... I might be remembering his name wrong. Entirely possible. I can be pretty bad with names. English accent.

Ah.. then Graham. Sorry, Graham, if you read this. Remembering names is a terrible weakness of mine.

WOW $900..That is awesome. When I had my epi Goldtop, it cost $200 just to buy the Lollars for it..The 140 covers the more mellow, jazz blues part of the musical spectrum, and a 137 would be something I could take into a smoky bar, and not worry too much about putting a dent or scratch on it..

Including mine, I've seen a couple of others come and go at about $900-1000 in the last year.  You've got to be sure you get the second edition if you want the Lollars.  Mine has signatures from Graham and Jay on the inner panel, so I guess it was one of the first run Wolfe ordered.  Tweed case, very nice.
