535 spec changes

Hi all,

 

Need some input on 535's.

I just got a 1988 H535 and I noticed that the lower bout was a little smaller than my 1999.

 

Rough measurements show that the 1999 is 16" & 1988 is 15.5"

 

I'm just curious about that if anyone knows about that.

those kind of differences you wil probably find w/ Heritage because of the "HANDMADE" nature of them...its not a CNC cookie cutter

I would think these would be made in some sort of template or jig and should be fairly close.  Certainly much closer than 1/2" tollerence.

yeah...1/2 inch is kind of a lot

Ren showed us the jig (jib? - whatever). Tolerance is much closer than 1/2". And I doubt you could loose that much sanding. Could be a design change due to new tools, loss of older tools, etc.
