Well first of all I'm just a couch player and an older one to boot (50 yrs). I play mostly Beatles, 70's and southern rock. Allman Bros is a favorite. I also have few Les Pauls with Alnico Vs , IIs and one with WCRs with Alnico IIs. I'd have to say that te Alnico Vs are a little hotter, more agressive and harsher. The Alnico IIs are softer and lower output but can sound very good when overdriven which probably makes them more desireable overall but it depends on what you like and want. The WCR Crossroads I really like but they aren't cheap. That's the two minute quick answer. Mark
