martintj Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 Well I have a heritage 535 and I'm about to have a set of Lollar imperials installed. Can anyone describe the steps needed to install these pickups. My tech guy has not experienced Heritage 535 before. Any information will be appreciated. Thanks Tom
GuitArtMan Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 Find a new tech. Serioulsy, if the guy has never installed pickups in a semi-hoillowbody guitar, find someone else. Don't pay for someone to experiement on your guitar. FYI it's a job the DOIY guy can easily do, with patience.
martintj Posted May 4, 2009 Author Posted May 4, 2009 Oh this tech has had some experience with these jobs. I'm just looking for some information for installation in a 535.
skydog Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 I don't know of anything exclusive to a 535 that doesn't apply to any hollow/semi-hollow "access through the f-holes" installation.

I don't meant to come off sounding like a jerk, but it's no different than any other semi-hollow body. It's based off the Gword ES-335 for crying out loud. It's built by the same guys that built the '59 dot necks people lust after. If he doesn't know how to work on a 335 then either do it yourself or find a new tech.

I wish I still had the shot of my 575 when I installed the p-rails and all the guts were hanging out the f holes.. kinda makes ya want to barf.
