OK...I admit it, I'm bored.. But how is this for a poll question? What is, (in your opinion) the best sounding Heritage you have ever played..that is very subjective, I know but I'm trying to make the clock go faster.. Just something to chatter about..I have only played one, but i'm sure you all have wide experience and opinions on this subject..Rock On..

OK, are speaking of the best sounding solid body, or semi-hollow, or archtop Heritage?

I would guess that Brent would probably be the best guy to answer this question, since he's had his way with SO many Heritages! :hijacked:

Mines the best in the world.

Im bored too.

Edit: should that be "Im bored too" or "Im bored to"?

Thanks. :hijacked:

Ok..How about we create categories..Best sounding Heritage Solid body, Semi-Hollow, and Hollow Body? Let's go with that..

Hard to describe. They ALL sound great to me!
Ok..so maybe not such a good subject..But, you can't blame me for trying..It makes sense that everyone will love their guitars,,That's why be bought them in the first place..HAHA..Next!!

Heh! Don't need a category; don't need a qualification; pretty much any amp'll do.... 1990 H-576 with Phat Cats.... See you at PSPII.

An H-Air/Airatage is the only model I've played. I move like Jake E. Lee but sound like nothing ;) . Hopefully that will change soon!!!

I'm hoping my new {to me} heritage 535 sounds great when I get it back from my technician tomorrow with a new set of Lollar imperials installed.I have high hopes.

I love the tone of the 525 w/ the Lollars....but to me the Gary Moore just has something that sets it apart

My '88 H-140 was the best sounding solidbody I ever had, even with the stock Schaller pickups and hardware. Huge balanced sound that could grind on rhythm and sing on solo's like I never heard on any other guitar I've owned or even played.

The first Eagle (a '97) I had possessed a wonderful acoustic tone (if not loud). My favorite of all time for archtops. Sweet highs and a wonderfull resonant midrange, with a balanced bass response. A beautiful blend from the stock mahogany top with TI "Be-Bop" (14's) strings. It could not rival the amplitude of purpose-built archtops for BigBand rhythm duties (like old Epi Triumphs, et al), but its sweet voice was perfect for chord solos in my livingroom.

Finally, my current '07 H-575 with the HRW's is the best sounding jazz guitar I've ever owned. As I've said before: it has a raw Bluesy tone that shouts, but can also be as sophisticated and smooth as an L-5 I once had. Anyway that's my story and I'm stickin' to it!

Literally it is like picking your favorite child.

I CAN'T! So I will go with the cop-out that they all sound great.

But lately... the 535 p-90, the 555, the 150p-90 GT, and the "Greeny" 150.

Then again it just may have been the amp that day. ;)

Isn't it strange how everyone thinks their own guitars are the best.

Who'd have thought that ?

Uh.... Me...? :P

I have to admit my prejudice for anything with a P-90 on it..So, even though I've never played one, I'm sure that a 535 with P-90's would be on my list..Just love that old time TONE!!!

It's all good fun though !

I'm thinking that's because those are the ones we get to play. :P

I have two 150's. My 2002 is the best playing sold body I've ever had. It just has that special something. I don't know what it is, but its different. It had SD Custom/Custom's in it. They were installed when I bought it. It just kills. I can get every tone I want with it. You can't say that about a lot of guitars. Maybe if I get some work done to my other 150, it will sound better? I don't know.

You need to get pictures of these up in the Gallery, particularly your favorite

Mikenov's bargain steal of an H150 with Seth Lovers would come close to the best sounding Heritage I have ever played. It is just plain mean and articulate. Not too much low end there, but it has a classic "Leslie West" type wail to it that is so hard to describe, yet easily recognizable. Sounds good at lower levels also.

I would have Seth's in at least one of my H150s now, if I could afford the extra change. Send me your tired, I'm poor.

Sorry guys, but the best Heritage I've ever heard is my triple HRW pickup 157 with custom wiring (3 volumes and 1 master tone).

It simply gets a wider range of tones, from jazz to metal...and all in between. Amazing instrument.

Like most everyone else here, their Heritage git sounds better than the next person's. Kinda like 'my kid is better lookin' than yours'... :D

Now if someone were to pull out a custom Golden Eagle or Super Eagle 'Switchmaster' model...then we'd have to pass the crown on to that gitfiddle. :D
