Slightly surprising myself that I'm hitting a thousand posts. Always enjoy the threads/content - a great forum here. Thought I'd do a little ditty for your viewing humor. Was a really nice day for this. Inspiration nod to Bell's Oberon (in addition to a special 535) ;)

Sweet!! If you come to PSPII, I would like to "borrow " some of those riffs from you..

Hey smurph, yeh exchanging licks at PSP is part of the fun. LOTSA outstanding players there.

A realization on my part here... and a big smile... HOC is very focused on footwear, or should I say lack thereof. My excuse - being in the north with our 2 months of warm weather per year, ya just have to enjoy it when you can ;) Maybe need to add a 'no shoes, no service' sign at the front of the HOC home page... just sayin'

Kind of a follow on - went to a Sunday jam yesterday where the band was set up outside on the patio under a 'tent'. Had so much fun on my patio w/the 535 and tweed that I brought them to the jam, too. The tweed is a really light amp with plenty of volume and has that 'verge of breakup' tone for blues/country/rock. Great great fun with that combo. My wife/I sat it for a half dozen tunes or so doing tunes she sings, then I stayed on with the house band for the rest of the set. The 535 just SINGS thru the 5e3 for solos and cleans up great for rhythm. We did some James Brown funky stuff, some blues - just had a blast.
