High Flying Bird Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 Plex, you could set those guitars in a cow turd and it would make the cow pie look great! That cherry finish on the 535 is fantastic. Good looking 150 too. It is a nice looking couch.......
plexirocker 68 Posted January 20, 2008 Author Posted January 20, 2008 Thanks everyone! Both are just simply GREAT guitars. I "rediscovered" Heritage about 2 years ago. The 535, with upgraded Wolfetone DR.V's is every bit as toneful as a buddys early 60's 345 with PAF's. Side by side very very similar and both just great. It made him a Heritage believer! The 150 I just scored at Eddies, he's pretty local for me. His year end blow out price in cash was killer. I really wasn't ready to buy but I couldn't pass on the guitar. I played about 10 of them like this and this one is just is so toneful with so much "crying" sustain it's just unreal. I had to nab it. Mucho fat and really well blanced in tone. In over 25 years of playing I have only played a handfull of Pauls that sound this good!! plexi
