smurph1 Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 Good Morning..Had the opportunity to play my 140 alongside a new LP Traditional..The tone was almost identical..The LP was a scratch and dent model from MF.. It really sounded nice, but it was way heavier than my 140, and cost a grand more..So, needless to say my love affair with Heritage shows no sign of slacking off..HAHA
Gitfiddler Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 The only thing that really surprises me is that the Gibson was ONLY a grand more than your H-140! But you did state that it was a 'scratch and dent' sale.
smurph1 Posted June 11, 2009 Author Posted June 11, 2009 HaHa..I guess you really pay for the name with those guitars.
mark555 Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 HaHa..I guess you really pay for the name with those guitars. don't forget, you get REAL plastic inlays as a feature with the Gibson

pegleg32 Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 You know, that is really not a fair comparison, I mean, after a scratch and a dent, was there really much left of that poor Gibson?
Kuz Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 I hope you washed your hands after playing that Gibby. Did you pick up any diseases?
mark555 Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 I am shocked by this. SHOCKED! alright, not really. and I can remember when this forum was fit for kids to go through...!! Ha Ha Ha!!!!
paul144 Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 Speakin' of lube, don't forget, if you're 50 or older, its time to make the appointment for your first colonoscopy. And its cheaper than a LP Traditional. Damn, I turned 50 in Feb. but I'm totally not goin'. I don't want 50 feet of garden hose anywhere near that area. Still, thats great to hear, I have a 140 Goldtop scheduled to arrive on Thurs of next week!
mark555 Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 "mmmmmmmmmmmmm... H140 gold top" he said, in a rather Homer Simpson like way. What's one of those go for over in the states? Looks delicious.
