jamison162 Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 I have the upgraded hardware, not the weird schaller stuff. Standard nashville bridge and stop tailpiece, gotoh?? Anyway, anyone know if the bushings are steel, or some other material?? Thanks
SouthpawGuy Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 Hi, I'm not sure if I understand your question. By "bushings" do you mean the metal inserts in the top of the guitar where the bridge and tailpiece are mounted ? The Heritage website states that the hardware for the 150 is "chrome plated". I presume this includes those parts as well. They could be chrome plated steel or maybe brass ( more sustain). Hope this helps.
jamison162 Posted January 24, 2008 Author Posted January 24, 2008 Yes, the threaded metal inserts in the body are called bushings, that's what I'm talking about. They are steel on Gibsons, just wondering if the Heritage is the same. I haven't changed strings yet on my new H-150; I'll look when I get the chance. Bushings are usually just raw metal; they aren't gonna be chrome plated when they non-cosmetic hardware. Thanks.
