proxmax Posted July 19, 2009 Posted July 19, 2009 i replaced the duncan with one of the best sounding and looking pups i ever got. they are handmade in germany by harry haeussel. not shure if they are available in the states. Soundfiles here! cheers klaus
TheRecordFable Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 That guitar makes me want to slap my mama SWEET!
shook494 Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 That has got to be one of the MEANEST looking 150's I've seen yet. I love the black stain with the natural mahogony back. The pickups look really cool too!
JeffB Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 Very cool looking 150 indeed. Which p/up model are they? The sound files all sound great. Very acka dacka. Those p/ups look cool as well. Any chance of a closer look at the p/ups. They got a Gretsch look about them.
proxmax Posted July 31, 2009 Author Posted July 31, 2009 sorry for the late answer. i have at the neck the AGL/Haeussel "the '62" and at the bridge a custom pup "hot special custom" that is soundwise similar to the "Hot" the newsilver ring is an upgrade for about $11. also availabe in gold or black (looks really cool) webside is still only in german, if you need help, let me know. cheers klaus
proxmax Posted July 31, 2009 Author Posted July 31, 2009 EDIT: newsilver is nickel silver or german silver in english!
smurph1 Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 Everything I wanted to say about that beaut has already been said..So I'll just say this..WOW!! The pickups sort of look like those Filter Trons you see on Gretsch guitars..Awesome.
proxmax Posted July 31, 2009 Author Posted July 31, 2009 there are some other interesting clips about haeussel pups.
proxmax Posted October 17, 2009 Author Posted October 17, 2009 i'm going to check the suhr aldrich set in there. same look with open silver rings. curious!
proxmax Posted February 21, 2010 Author Posted February 21, 2010 the suhr aldrich pups are still sitting here and wait for a test i think, i put them in the next guitar i have to buy first - rofl. my wife will kill me for. i love the setup like it is and will stay for a long time. are haeussel pups available in the states?

As far as I know, Haeussel's are hard to get in the states (and in other countries, too). The Haeussel's are really great pups. IMHO opinion not 100 % as good as the Amber PAF 59. But if you compare the prices (Haeussel PAF Set 309 EUR to Amber 59 PAFs approx. 500 EUR) it's just a question of how many money do you wish to spent for pickups. I'm very sure that, no matter if you use Haeussl's or Amber's, both of them will defenitely make an upgrade to every stock pickup.
proxmax Posted February 22, 2010 Author Posted February 22, 2010 i agree about the quality of amber 59 pafs. have you ever heard the haeussel 59? sounds really great and as you said, the ambers are ridiculous pricey. convert it to USD some guys would laugh loud in this forum. nevertheless both are nothing for me, i need more "beef". for expl. my bridge pup reads 18.6 kOhms ;o)
smurph1 Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 that is a kick ass 150 right there!!!! Yeah Buddy!!

I fully agree to you about the pricing of Amber pups. Well, 18,6 Ohm, that's really beefy. I asume you play the heavy stuff, right ?! btw: I have Suhr pickups in my new Realguitars Strat (F/L singele coils and SSV Humbucker for the bridge. To me the SSV has not enough output for a brdge pickup. Any suggestion from your side ? SSV + our Aldrich ? I need it more or less for heavy blues rock. Cheers Wolfi
proxmax Posted February 24, 2010 Author Posted February 24, 2010 first @ wolfi: the wiring can change a lot! - also caps! the link from SouthpawGuy doesn't even come close to my baby. nice try - dream on! bist du auf der messe? -klaus
