A new toy for Wolfi

Hi guys,

 

after a long time of test and research, I today got my dream amp. It's a HOOK Captain Amp, handbuilt in the Netherlands.

 

It's a three channel amp, handwired with military grade parts inside.

if you click on "menu" and than on "videos", you'll find the amp builder himself, Leenert Haaksma, who demonstrates the amp.

This good boy uses a Heritage H 150 on the video clips 6, 7 and 8.

 

Leendert is a very much respected guitar player in the Netherlands.

That thing sounds pretty sweet. Nice cleans, and great bluesy crunch.

 

Finding an amp is getting to be a tough job these day. So many choices, so little time (and money).

Exactly. I'm very glad that I got it second hand. My HOOK was on tour as a spare Amp and the person sold it for 1.800 EUR, which is still a lot of money.
