Dick Seacup Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 In no particular order: Amps: Rob's amp. Kenny's amp. John's old Gibby amp. Mike's Orange head. Guitars: That H-110 the factory guy brought out that had no markers, matching peghead, &c. Kenny's NFH. Rob's Super Eagle (again this year). Myles black 157 with P90s. Just about every 535 there.
Kuz Posted August 2, 2009 Author Posted August 2, 2009 As I reflect about PSP2.... Need to add Mike's Orange Amp & Mike's "new" 150 that he didn't tell us about.... Oh, yea and I would love to have everyone else's chops!
tulk1 Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 It wasn't what I saw, it was what I ate. 3 hot dogs!! Brent's dad knows how to cook 'em and I couldn't leave 'em alone. Talk about GAS!! Whew!! ... oh, music-wise. Kuz's Greenie (unphased, sorry) The Gib amp Brent's Silverburst was darned cool - all sparkly Chris's H110 - totally rocked! Had 10's, played like 9's, had tone like a ... well, a Heritage! Need one of those. Rob's tone on our bluesy jam. Totally amazing. And his new amp kinda sorta rocked it and induced a bit o'gas. Need to sound like that.
brentrocks Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 for me it was... DC's 170 Chris's 110 Lyle's milli
yoslate Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 These threads are sort of about limiting my imagination to an abbreviated list. I don't like that! So, having issued the disclaimer: -Dixie's "Tonesucker" 170 is even more lovely in person! That one would have been worth a bidding war! Glad you landed her, John! -Kuz's P-90 535 and goldtop 150 (neither of which made it to The Pilgrimage), and his 525!!! Needs to be more buzz about those!!! Does it all!!! -Mike's "new" 150, and his crunchy (but not too much!) tone through the Orange -Kenny's Millie/Tweed combo...stunning tone, just stunning! -The sparkling, airy tone of Steiner's acoustic (good stuff down at the bridge, in the yard....)
tulk1 Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 Rob, it's too bad we didn't get to do a clinic with your new amp. FredZepp was making that thing just sing!! Not that you didn't too. But as we were standing back giving it the 'ol listen, Mr. Zepp was putting some mighty fine licks thru it. Even on the unfinished unclean channel. All adding up to some might amp gas (aas?), no doubt.

All adding up to some might amp gas (aas?), no doubt. Thanks, Kenny. Yeah, one of the reasons I took that amp was to get folks to play it so I'd be able to listen to it while not playing. I was walking around the room trying to give a listen from various angles and distances. Probably looked like I was not paying attention...no, no, no! I appreciated Fred's tasty playing, and playing through it so I could give a more objective listen (Thanks a lot, Fred!). I really wanted to play it for our "set," but moving it across the room and plugging it in would have been an imposition. We will get that "unclean" channel the equal of the "clean"! Next year, Mr. Hyde will make his appearance...I'll bring just it and the 150.... Heh, heh....
FredZepp Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 Thanks for the compliments, I must say that PSP II exceded my expectations. I'm still remembering bits and pieces a couple of days later and ....smiling. To play that amp, after seeing it here.... was like seeing a sportscar in a magazine and then being given the keys for a test drive. ( Fine guitar also )

The Trini Lopez got quite the rave last year, too. Bit of a surprise to see it there. There are some other builds there that might surprise you. Seems the boys have been tapped a few times in the past to help with some of the other builders. I believe they've even done a Guild or two. Maybe a D'Aquisto. Someone here knows the other "brands" they've built.
Mikenov Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 Guys thanks, The things I was coveting were, Tulk's amp. That thing is sweet! I also was digging Dixie's 170. That thing has style! Bird's 535 custom was pretty sweet too! I always wanted an electric with an ebony board. Kuz's greeny and tone in general was pretty awesome. I would say Alicia's 535 but it was all strung up backwards! Lots of really nice looking guitars there and good sounding amps. back in the corner there was a Buddha head I wish I would have gotten a better look at. Too much gear not enough time really.
