AC30 style build

Hey all!

I thought I would share some pictures from a recent 6V30 build that I worked on. Admittedly, I ended up soldering much less of this amp than I expected but if I come out with a killer amp I can't be so upset about the matter! The final wiring should be finished tomorrow or Wednesday depending but here are the pictures of the fully wired chassis so far! I didn't replace any of the parts except for the output transformer which is a Mercury Magnetics Woden clone. In the future, I might change out the signal caps for the Sozo amplification vintage line but mostly I'm just going to be glad to have something to play! The cab is from North Coast Music and is loaded with a Weber Blue Dog and a Silver Bell. One of the coolest parts of this project is that I'll be able to A/B the amp with a 1964 AC30 Combo amp and a 1964 AC30 Head. Hopefully it holds it's own! If it's possible to record some sound clips I will let you guys know right away!

So, without further ado, the build as it stands!

I've got a CC1 that I think is killer. And I hear it's nothing like the old ones. So those must just be amazing amps, clone or not. Clips would be nice when you can. Neat looking solder job, too.

AC30 TB/6 eh? 6 EL84s, 4 12AX7s and a rectumfrier.

Thanks for all of the kind words! The guy I'm working with is a really thoughtful, attention to detail oriented kind of guy so it really comes out in his work! Hopefully mine stands up to his too! I will do my best to post some sound clips and maybe will record an actual vintage AC30 as a benchmark. My guitar teacher is very interested in seeing how my build stacks up to his amp!

Fired up the Normal channel today and it sounded great! Tomorrow I'll run the full amp Top Boost and all!
