tulk1 Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 Isn't the ElectraDyne a very close relation to the LS's? I seem to recall it has the same basic drive engine, with the added "flavors". So it's quite reasonable to be drawn to the LS's very attractive cousin. Just sayin' ....
JeffB Posted November 13, 2009 Author Posted November 13, 2009 Nothing tragic about it if you have the cash.. buy it. You deserve it. The world owes it to you. Its your birth right. GOD wants you to have this amp. Does any of this help? Youre right. Ive hung out for three months. Thats along time in GAS land. No it doesnt help. The ED does the JCM800 very well in high gain mode plus more. In clean mode it is thicker. I cant clone the sounds from one amp on the other. They are different. If I had to sum it up simplistically I would say LS USA, ED British. Probably over simplifying it. If they put both amps in one cab it would be my perfect amp. Nothing an amp switcher couldnt fix I guess.

If Im not worn out and exhausted by ED gas by Monday morning Im putting an order in for an Electra Dyne head and head/amp switcher. Im trying to pace myself so the GAS doent turn nasty and I end up with the backlash effect where you just get over it and dont care anymore.
