Got this off a kid on the Gear Page. I was pleasantly surprised to find HRW's in it also...the seller had no idea. Usually the switch tip is a giveaway but someone may have changed it. Very full articulate tone! One tiny nick on the top keeps it from being mint. I took the pickguard off. Chunky neck too...I love this thing. Came with nice TKL case. 7 pounds 10 oz. Perfectly balanced. Overall the body is slightly smaller than my 150 but sounds just as fat!

That is one smooth looking guitar! I do so like those HRWs and would wager she sounds as sweet as she looks. +1 karma for slipping in the gratuitous shot of the 150. Mighty fine porn there! Many thanks ;)

Paul, that's a nice score there!

I like the slightly thinner body and light weight of the 140. I've almost pulled the trigger on a couple of 140s, but either got beat out, or just backed off for various reasons. Someday, I'll come across the right one and add it to the collection.

NICE... I just about had one of these with duncans in it a couple of days ago. We agreed on price , then seller kept delaying the transaction. Finally he said something about how his wife didn't want to sell or something . Life's too short to worry about it , but I do wish that it had happened. But this one with HRW"s... well that's really a find. congrats on a great 140.

I love those guys (or kids) at the Gear Page, when they don't know what they have. Great score. Now go get one with p-90s!

Very nice! Great photos too.

I don't think the older models with HRWs had the dot on the switch tip.

thanks Brent...let me tell y'all the story..

I email the guy last Sunday, send paypal, talked to him on the phone, etc. Seemed cool. Said he'd ship on Monday and send me the tracking #.

Monday, no tracking #, no email from seller.

Tues. Same thing. I leave a voice mail, nothing. Starting to freak a bit. I threaten the paypal thing.

Weds, he emails me, said it shipped out on Monday and he should have the tracking # soon, and don't file a paypal claim, I don't know what he went thru to ship it out, etc, etc...blah blah...

Thurs, I get the tracking #, turns out it was shipped on last Thurs (From Sacramento to NY)!

He had his room mate ship it because he went camping for the week.

He offered some more excuses on that... ;)

Got here in a pieced together cardboard box, joined at the center with black duct tape, foam peanuts trying to escape from within...

thank God it arrived in one piece. The HRWs were a bonus for my aggravation.

And he had the nerve to tell me the shipping was more than he expected, and if I could send him an extra $20 to "help out"

If your waiter throws your food at you, do you still tip 'em?

Jeez.

Whoa, Paul! That's a gorgeous goldy!!! The top on your 150 is exceptional, too. Nice pickup. I'm thankful on your behalf that it did get to you unscathed. By your description of what the box looked like when it arrived all I can say is "PHEW!"

That is a really cool goldtop! I've had guitars shipped to me in those "frankenstein" boxes as well. You wonder what in the world they're thinking. I guess since it isn't theirs anymore they don't care. It's a wonder it arrived in one piece. Glad it didn't get damaged as it's really a beautiful axe. Enjoy!
