paul144
I want to get a guitar re fretted with the same size frets my 140 & 150 have. Anyone know the exact size, i.e. 6150, 6105, etc?? thanks
Thundersteel
I know it's medium-jumbo, if that helps.
DCA
I'd also like to know which material they're made from. I'm assuming it's a very soft, high carbon steel. While other frets are a lot better at looking shiny and notch free, Heritage's frets wear quickly, notch easily, oxidize on a dime, and are a complete joy to play. Even when notched, as mine are, it's a complete no-brainer to smoothly bend, way, way past where other other guitars dare to tread. It's a wonderful material that feels as sweet as my big hands are strong and my jazz strings will allow. I like your fret transplant idea as I often "fret out," I think that's the term, on longer scale insturments with harder, sharper fret profiles. paul144
all I could get from Heritage is "Specially made for them in Germany" I think I'll go with taller 6105s
slider313
I had Jack Briggs refret my H140 with medium jumbo stainless steel and if I ever have to refret another guitar, that's the way I'll go. The SS frets will last forever.
