Herigrosh Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 I'm looking into selling one for a buddy of mine. He wants $2400... I told him I'd ask around to see what's fair. I think $2400 is a bit unrealistic.
brentrocks Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 i think realisticly, your friend should consider $1400-$1600. they are $2500 new

Did your buddy fall victim to a crowbar strike behind a club? Why isn't he selling it himself? It seems questionable to me that anyone that owned such a guitar might need "help" selling it.
tulk1 Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 Did your buddy fall victim to a crowbar strike behind a club? Why isn't he selling it himself? It seems questionable to me that anyone that owned such a guitar might need "help" selling it. I've had help from a member here selling my guitars on another forum. So, it's not totally out of the question that he'd ask a member of the Heritage forum what a Heritage might sell for or to help him sell it. The $2400 is a bit high ... well, a lot high. But the scenario isn't unrealistic, IMO.
pegleg32 Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 Thundersteel is asking $1,850 for his and it has some really nice upgrades. Pictures are in another thread. http://www.heritageownersclub.com/forums/i...?showtopic=5689
Thundersteel Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 Thundersteel is asking $1,850 for his and it has some really nice upgrades. Pictures are in another thread. I believe mine was > $2500 new. I feel my asking price is more than fair, considering it's in new condition, and shipping is included in the price.
pegleg32 Posted August 29, 2009 Posted August 29, 2009 I was cruising Ebay completed sales and came across this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/Heritage-H555-H-555-Gi...id=p3286.c0.m14
Kuz Posted August 29, 2009 Posted August 29, 2009 A fair price is what someone is willing to pay for it. If it is an EXCEPTIONAL guitar and in dead mint condition, someone may think "it sounds better than any new one I have played and worth the price of a new guitar". Someone else may think "it's perfect, the color I want, it's in mint condition, it sounds great, so why wait 3 months for a new one when I can have this one now" and the person will justify the cost. Now grant most people may not think this way, but if it is a great guitar, someone may buy it at that cost. I guess I just think (even with new guitars) is this guitar worth the price they are asking and can I afford the price? If the answer is Yes, then it was a fair price to me.
Thundersteel Posted August 29, 2009 Posted August 29, 2009 I was cruising Ebay completed sales and came across this one: Sounds like the buyer got an exceptional deal! I hope the guitar is exactly as described.
pegleg32 Posted August 29, 2009 Posted August 29, 2009 Yes, I agree TS, I still think yours is a great buy. Don't give it away.
