big bob Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 I've noticed that some 535's and some 555's have 3pc and even 5pc necks. yet on the Heritage site they are only offered with 1pc. what's up with that, chime in guys what does your 535/555 have
Thundersteel Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 My H555 has the 3-piece flamed-maple neck. However, during the factory tour, Ren said they started using mahogany as he felt they were more stable. My neck (guitar neck, that is) is not only stable, but it's pretty to look at as well!
skydog52 Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 My first H-555 1999 was a one piece flamed maple neck, nice. My current H-555 2009 has a one piece mahogany neck, painted black. I have a H-530 on order that is supposed to come with a five piece neck, special order. I am looking forward to seeing how the five piece comes out.

pegleg32 Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 Where are all those 535 owners? Don't be shy!!
t0aj15 Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 My 02' 535 has a one piece Mahogany neck, and no problems at all with stability.
skydog52 Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 are thoes one pc tops, nice Yes,thank you, they are sweet looking and sounding.
tulk1 Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 I believe all 4 of my Heritages are 1 piece mahogany, including the '99 Prospect and '01 Millie. I think.
Gitfiddler Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 1 pc Mahogany on my 535 and 555. I'd like to see a 535 or 555 with a 5 pc. neck. Those are standard on Sweet 16's and Golden Eagles, but I'd bet a high priced (but beautiful) option on anything else.
pegleg32 Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Just trying to keep the poll up near the top
Joe Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 My H-555 has a five peice neck. Never did find out how I was lucky enough to get it, since I ordered it new.

Joe Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 Lets see it Sorry Bob but I can't get that picture to post. I started a thread in Family Tree last March "Should a 555 have a five peice neck". I got some pictures there, after much trouble, but I'm still working on it now.

jhack Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 In the end, the specialists can say to us if is better 1, 3, or 5 parts for neck? In maple or mahogany? You never can tell for the next command???
