brentrocks Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 are they gonna do any MOP inlays, different from the norm?
GuitArtMan Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 are they gonna do any MOP inlays, different from the norm? I'm with you. 535s with trap inlays, mmm, mmm, good!
brentrocks Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 I'm with you. 535s with trap inlays, mmm, mmm, good! Absosmurfly!!!! i was also thinking.....25th ann. inlay on the peghead? 12th fret?
GuitArtMan Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 Absosmurfly!!!! i was also thinking.....25th ann. inlay on the peghead? 12th fret? Peghead yes, 12th fret nah. Nothing looks classier to me than plain simple traps. I'm guessing the engraved truss rod cover is in place of the inlay and one way they can keep the cost down.
tbonesullivan Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 whoa... I may have to finally break down and get a solid body single cut. what's the usual price for a new H150CM? Also, what kind of colors will they be making them in?

Jay Wolfe CORRECTION: NO BOUND PEGHEAD as standard for this model- Jay Wolfe
Thundersteel Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 CORRECTION: NO BOUND PEGHEAD Sorry--that kills it for me! I hope they're not turning into bean counters up there!
Kuz Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 Sorry--that kills it for me! I hope they're not turning into bean counters up there! Well I am sure you could special order one with a bound headstock. I was always a little suspicious of why they would give an upgrade option (bound headstock) away for free. AND I hope the are counting beans up there. I want them to look at profit margins and continue (or start ) running like a good business. I want my boys to buy a guitar from Heritage Guitar company some day. I don't want them to fail.
brentrocks Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 i would expect a milestone LE guitar to have some bling...thats just me though
slider313 Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 Since it the "Silver" Anniversary, I would like to see a H150 in silver sparkle finish with a black back and neck, like the old Gretsch Silver Jet. MOP headstock logo and abalone/mop block inlay like the old Epiphone Sheraton.
slider313 Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 Something like this except I know they could do a better job on the finish. Maybe it should be a H157 instead with a ebony fretboard.
slider313 Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 O.K. I think the wheels have come to a halt. First I thought a silver sparkle 150 then a 157. The best way to honor the 25th would be to bring back the first guitar they made; the H140. A limited edition silver sparkle H140 with a rounded cutaway, belly cut, chrome hardware, ebony fretboard, block inlay, mop logo and Duncan Antiquity pickups. Here a better example of a good silver sparkle finish.
Thundersteel Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 I can see a silver sparkle TRC with "25th Anniversary" on it. IMHO, those sparkle finishes on the bodies just look too gawdy for me.
