Hmm. This has got me thinking about about pulling out the "gibson" tailpiece and bushings and putting back in the original schaller tailpiece on my H535. Also, mine would have probably come with a schaller roller bridge, which I've heard a lot of poeple aren't particularly fond of. any reason why?

Anyway, great freakin guitar. Lipstick tube pickups, and that headstock. Definitely one for the books. How does it sound?

i love the schaller hardware.

it is kinda p-90ish....you can dial in some twang w/ the push/pull....but very much what you would expect from 3 singles

awesome! I'm currently trying to get more single coils into my arsenal, because there are some sounds you just can't get with HBs, even split ones. I'm also currently looking for something with Gibson/Epiphone style Mini-HBs.

And yeah, schaller hardware is awesome. I heard they used to supply a lot of the Gibson hardware. No idea who does know. They also supplied carvin and other companies as well. I think my Hamer special from '93 has schaller hardware.

i love hummbuckers, but i like the thin/muddy tone of sinngles every once in a while too. these lipsticks seem to be a cross between classic strat singles and a weak p-90.

Thanks to Scott (golferwave) i will soon have a gold Schaller bridge to match the tail...then off for a new bone nut and some fretwork, it will play like $1000000

That is definitely the WiLDeST looking Heritage so far. You're going to end up with ALL the museum pieces at the rate you're going.

Nice!

Bent probably is the museum... but that one. although unique, and much kudos for that, is too off beat for me,even though I like it's quirkiness.. Good to have something different though.

Looks to me like a slide players ultimate DREAM guitar.

Darn toot'n'!

I wonder why it had such a low cut on the nut? Maybe a poor attempt at set up by the second owner...heaven knows I've learned that the hard way

This might be a fun excuse to try winding your own pickups. It's a cheap hobby, by guitar standards, and one that I'm having a ball with at the moment.

There's little that I can add to what's already been said: Congrats on the unique guitar!

i figured out the switching on this guitar! well...pete did....LOL

ok....

toggle in the up (while playing) position = neck pup only

" " " down position = bridge pup only

" " " middle position = bridge + neck pup

toggle in the up position w/ back pot pulled up = neck + middle pup

toggle in the down position w/ back pot pulled up = bridge + middle pup

toggle in the middle position w/ back pot pulled up = neck + middle + bridge pups

the last pot is just an on/off/vol for the middle pup...pretty sweet though

took it tonight to pete for a setup/nut/fret dress

Wow , that sounds like a really cool switch system. and with the lipstick pu's should give you some nice "new" tones to play with. Being single coil , I would bet these end up having a nice "jangle " to them. It's been many years since I have played lipstick pu's . And that was in an old Dano, that was hollow and light as a feather.

I love 3 pickup guitars, especially single, that give you the full range of options. I have a Carvin Bolt, and their take on it is to have a standard 5 sway strat-style switch with a "bridge on" switch, which allows you to get all three pickups, or the neck and bridge. I got mine in a hard tail so it's somewhere between a strat and a telecaster sound, and can do both pretty convincingly.

but yeah, that is still one of the coolest i've ever seen.

Well..it palys great!!!

The variations of tones is just mind boggling!

Bridge pup = it is quite a bit more aggressive than the other 2...good rock stuff, but lower output

Neck/Bridge = nice twang, great mid-range boost

Neck = good bass response, great blues tone

All 3 together = lots of bass/mids....kinda cool clean though

the nutwork is great...the setup is great...it definately a keeper!
