brentrocks Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 Against my better judgement, I picked up a Stat Deluxe with a headstock repair...but it turned out to be a good move in the end. It is a 1988 carved top, bound and done in trans cherry...KILLER FLAME! But the kicker for me is the Floyd! I love Floyds. It is all stock, Kahler Spyder (floyd) Schaller pups, 5-way selector, vol/tone. It plays great and sounds really good...especially the clean tones
FredZepp Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 SWEET !!!!!! I was considering that one also. It seemed like a great deal, but was scared off by the repair. That looks like a really fun Heritage axe. Something a bit different seems like your recipe and this one fits the bill. CONGRATS
FredZepp Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 MAN YOU BUY ALOT OF STUFF!!! Guy Yeah, but check the strings before you buy from him......

DC Ron Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 Very sweet. The eBay pix sure didn't show the flame like these photos. (Another) nice find!
brentrocks Posted October 19, 2009 Author Posted October 19, 2009 I took advantage of a sunny day to get some nicer pics....
tbonesullivan Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 nice! I was eyeing that one too.. but tremolos and me do not get along. Wasn't really worried about the headstock repair though. IT looks like a pro job. I wonder how much it would be to have the finish knitted.
pro-fusion Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 If it didn't have that Kahler Spyder, I probably would have grabbed that one. The Spyder isn't necessarily a bad trem, but most of them still out there need work and Kahler no longer has replacement parts for them. I don't believe the spacing of the trem studs is compatible with Floyd Roses, either. That Spyder looks to be in pretty good shape, though. If/when you sell this one, give me a holler.
