Jazzpunk Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 My 525 has these really cool keystone tuners that I'm totally digging. I'm thinking about putting a set on 575 now as well. Is this type of tuner on par with the 'standard' grover tuners that are currently on my 575? Any pros/cons? These are the ones I'm lookin at but I'm open to others if they are better http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Tuners/Guitar,..._Keystones.html

Jazzpunk Posted October 20, 2009 Author Posted October 20, 2009 Excuse the newb question on this but how the heck do I know if those will fit my guitar or not? Do I need to do some sort of measuring or does Heritage have a standard hole size they use? Thinking I may throw a set on the 535 as well!
GuitArtMan Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 Contact TonePros, let them know what type of tuners are on the guitar now and they'll let you know which model to order.
KissTone Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 And they can be had for $45 on ebay. I'm thinking of replacing the Sperzels on my soon-to-arrive H150 with the TonePros . . . (but not until I use the Sperzels for a while and see how I like them).

I have them on 5 guitars I own (all 4 of my 150s and a PRS), but I was told you had to order them custom from the factory because the hole is smaller than normal. Personally, I like the ivoroid look over the green kluson, but both are cool.

Personally, I like the ivoroid look over the green kluson, but both are cool. The Tone Pros Klussons dropped right in on my Les Paul and CS-336 - no drilling required. Also the buttons are Ivory color and not the snot green of the Gbrand versions. Rock solid, no slop, smooth turning, finest 3 + 3 tuners I've tried. When I custom order my next Heritage(s) they will have Tone Pros Klusson tuners.
Jazzpunk Posted November 5, 2009 Author Posted November 5, 2009 First I have to figure out what kind of tuners my Grovers are! No model number on them so not sure. Think I'd like to change the tuners on the 535 as well now. They just look so dang cool on the 525!
