The Heritage H-110

Early this year, I enjoyed seeing the introduction of the H-110 as a new model for 2009 on the Heritage website. Heritage has offered a fine array of classic guitar models to satisfy players of all kinds, but I must congratulate those responsible at the factory for presenting an instrument that is a little different than their past offerings. The H-110 is not a radical departure, but it does have a unique look about it and shows that the factory is willing to think a little "out there" to bring something new and interesting to the table. While I saw an H-110 hanging on the factory wall during a tour in August, I haven't been able to see and try one out as yet in a store. There are a couple of Internet dealers that are listing them, but several others do not list them at all. The new factory website lists the H-110 as a semi-hollow body guitar, an LW (chambered). Have any of you HOCers been able to get close to an H-110? If so, any impressions would be welcomed.

Played one at PSPII. One of the employees (sorry, forget his name. really nice guy - Chirs, maybe?) had his there for the jams. It was light weight, very balanced. Had a great feel in the hands. Very much a Heritage. Didn't know at the time it was considered a semi-solid (not the same as a semi-hollow). Kinda like my Millie NFH. It did have the feel of a solid body, weight relieved. It handled the harder stuff just fine. I did a bit more middle of the road stuff with it, and it did that well, too.

Actually his guitar WAS a solid body (not chambered or weight relieved). I know this because he said he made his solid because he didn't like his guitars weight relieved.

They will make them either way for you.

Also, it's interesting that he has his pickup selector switch in a different spot than the H-110 pictured on the Heritage website. I'm diggin' that body shape. I wouldn't necessarily need it chambered, but could go either way depending upon the tone.
