chico Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 Hi, question about cleaning (polishing) my pickup covers. I have a H150 with the SDs, chrome/nickel plating. I'm interested in obtaining the polished look (as in getting the finger grime) off em. any advice? I've thrown up a few pics for ya to see, sorry for the quality--used my point and shoot- My H150 in antique burst along with one of my favorite strats, an early 90s Strat Plus. in metallic green my amp is a Marshall DSL 401 all tube tone does this mean my karma goes up? Kuz Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 Mothers metal polish- will make them look new in 15 mins. I know what a few vintage guitar shop owners that use it.

AnH555 Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 does this mean my karma goes up? Yes. Yes it does.

Gitfiddler Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 Great photos of the grand kids! There is absolutely NO way a child can frown with a guitar in their little hands.
GuitArtMan Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 The pickups look like they are just getting broken in...
skydog Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 Chico: Make sure that your pup covers aren't the vintage/ reliced versions from Heritage. My H-150 came with such and they won't shine up to look like a standard pup.
doggy1972 Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 I like the look of the covers how they are.Nice and worn in.
squawken Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 I second Kuz's notion. I use Mother's Mag Polish, and it also helps keep them clean.
