CJTopes Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 Anyone familiar with these? Everything I've been able to read about them is positive. I have a chance to trade my 84 Gibby Les Paul for one. I have had no luck trying to sell the LP outright. For some reason I've had a lot of trade offers for Strats but I dont have any interest in Fenders at the moment. I've been thinking of getting another amp anyway. Though I would prefer a separate head-cab set up.

Mikenov Posted November 19, 2009 Posted November 19, 2009 this is all perception but I have always thought Framus amps are shredder amps which from what I know isn't your style. But I also have thought they were high quality. Sorry I don't have more for you.

I've heard the same thing about the Original Riot 1 but I think they reduced the gain on the IIs so they have more of a classic 60s-70s distortion. You are correct that I'm not a high modern gain type of player.
