with the help of many HOCers, Mars hall especially. I have the new pups/weiring in the H-150 custom.

pups are BG pups hand made for the 150 by Bryan Gunsher,

the bridge is hot, about 10.5

neck and mid are classic 6.5

the set up is s/s/s/ wired like a les paul with a push pull for the mid

these pups are soooooo nice..the clean tones are full and rich.. and the dirty tones are hard.

a total new sound ..

Beautiful guitar BB!

You're done with that one?

Do I hear scallops a-brewing???

I've liked this guitar from day one...

I'm glad to see that you've managed to raise the sound quality up to the level of this beauties lineage.

It just needed some tweaking to get it up to speed, playability and tone wise, and it has gone through the right hands here at HOC to achieve that Heritage nirvana... congrats on the upgrade... I do bet those custom wound pick-ups are sweet...!

I'm still having trouble with my audacity.

I still need to get the 150 in to my tech for a fret level and crown, the third fret is high and makes some dead notes. should be a sweet player after that.

with the new pups and the crazy shielding paint this guitar has no hum at all. even with the volume cranked..

happy thanksgiving

If your third fret is high, you may not need a crown and polish. Your fret may have come "unseated" a bit. I have a small nylon tipped fret hammer just for this purpose. I worked, for about a year and a half, at Sam Ash in Carle Place,NY in the guitar repair department and learned plenty from one of the better repairmen in the area. When HE ran into a tough problem he would call Larry Fitzgerald at the Huntington Station store. Larry is one of the best and had previously worked for Mandolin Bros. and Rudy's Music.

Thanks, I'll ask my tech Tony about that..

Something must have moved or shifted on that fret...when Pete did the new nut, he had that dead note fixed....i hope the fret will be crownable/fixable.

I'm sure if it's loose tony can glue it back down.. Just need to wait until after I've procured all the kids x-mass gifts before I commit the money.. (Tony is very reasonable)
