smurph1 Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 slider 313 offered to fix my '67 Bassman head for me, a few weeks back..it was cutting in and out and the sound was quite weak..Had to turn it way up to compete with the band. I actually play bass through it which I'm told is kind of rare..(Most people use em for guitar I guess) Well Mike worked his magic on it, and Wow what a difference..I used it last night with the full band..(2 guitars and drums) and I only had to turn the volume to 3 and I was cutting through like a hot knife..Thanks Slider..You da man!!
FredZepp Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Nice story of success.... the tone is back !! Great job slider 313 !!!
pegleg32 Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Slider is "Da Man" when it comes to amps. He really helped me in narrowing my choice of amps when I was shopping.
slider313 Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Scott...your welcome.....and do me a favor.....plug your guitar in it someday. I know these were designed for bass at the time but there is also a "normal" channel for guitar use. Blackface Bassman's are also killer guitar amps. Btw, you should see what I'm working on today...............
slider313 Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 ........................................... a big pot of spaghetti sauce and meatballs!!
FredZepp Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 that's some hearty lookin' spagetti and meatballs.... seems like it's good to have you around for more than just amps... mmmmm
smurph1 Posted December 4, 2009 Author Posted December 4, 2009 that is perfect comfort food for this kind of weather!
Steiner Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 Momma Mia! At's a spicy meatballa... You cook and fix amps?! Does Mrs. Slider know how fortunate she is?
slider313 Posted December 6, 2009 Posted December 6, 2009 Mrs. Slider is quite the cook herself. She made a chicken piccata dish with some spinach and cheese crepes last week that was outstanding. She does help from time to time with my amp repairs also........like when I'm not sure if I'm going to get a shock, I have her hold down the wire in question.
