Callaway Posted December 4, 2009 Author Posted December 4, 2009 You should see something like this .... model number, serial #, finish and the pickups are noted on the above example H157 Classic = model V09003 = serial # OSB = finish , Old Style Burst 59s = pickups - Duncan 59s' -------- Just noticed initials under "INC" .... ( maybe GH ? ), possibly the person that finished the guitar ? Hey thanks much I'm looking for my itty bitty screwdrivers now lol.
brentrocks Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 Hey thanks much I'm looking for my itty bitty screwdrivers now lol. thats the fun thing about Heritage guitars, you never know what you are gonna find when you start taking parts off....always an adventure!!! a good one!
Callaway Posted December 4, 2009 Author Posted December 4, 2009 Well guys the mystery has been solved, upon popping into it's little brain cavity I have discovered after 19 years I've owned an H-150 not the H-140 the dealer had on the original hang tag, it was mismarked from jump street if the guy was that clever on his inventory management it might explain why he traded me two Heritage guitars the 150 and the 535 for a mid 70's Les Paul Custom burst. It also had the letters ACD under the H-150 anyone fill me in on what those might indicate? Thanks much guys!
fxdx99 Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 Surprise! Cool - congrats on the 150, then! ACD sounds like a finish description although I don't recognize it... maybe it's ACB or Antique Cherry Burst? http://heritageguitar.com/finishes.html
FredZepp Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 Yeah, Congrats on the upgrade... Your guitar may have gained $50 in value overnight... or not.. It's a beauty either way... Your finish looks like maybe a Antique Cherry Sun Burst. ( ACSB ) Maybe they were trying for ACB? So , it's a "Gibson cut" H-150CM as Brent suggested.. if you are not familiar, check out how on other 150's, the point (of the cutaway) is a little more rounded , while yours is shaped like a Gibsons. (But still not a Florentine sharp point like early 140's)

ACD sounds like a finish description although I don't recognize it... maybe it's ACB or Antique Cherry Burst? http://heritageguitar.com/finishes.html Going by their color chart that must be exactly what ACB indicates it was written in kind of a blurred hurried ballpoint writing the D could be a B, it is a cherryburst. I was kind of hoping to unlock the wisdom of the ages like a little rosetta stone hidden in my Heritage with a little more info than what I found like which pups they had in them back then etc etc I mean they sound like a normal PAF type not so much like a Duncan or other aftermarkets sound like. Either way thanks much it's a keeper regardless.

The pickups look to be Schaller, which is pretty standard for Heritage and can be identified from the 4 (2 per side) height adjustment screws. (also has a schaller bridge on it). You've a pretty unique example there with that style cutaway! Good stuff, Maynard.
