Hey all,

I am in the middle of a cash crunch and need to shed some equipment. I have been trying to sell a couple of amps I don't need for a while but they aren't moving so I think the guitar that will have the best market value is this 535. I don't think there are any comestic issues and I have done some nice upgrades to turn this into probably the best playing Heritage I own or maybe the 2nd best behind goldy.

1) Bone nut for tuning stability

2) Locking tone pros for stable set up and better sustain and tone

3) SD Alnico Pro II pickups

So, my question is, what do you think a good selling price for this guitar would be?

It's not desperation time yet but it would make allot of sense to move some things instead of raiding savings. Let me know what you think. Thanks !

Hi Mike - hey, nice pic of the tool shed! Like your worn tele.

I don't really know what the value of 535s are as haven't been looking at that model to sell or buy (mine's going no where and 2 of one model is maybe enough...). Maybe 1500 plus or minus? I'm sure you've done the 'net reference search (bay, tgp, etc) for a general range, too.

You still have blueburst, too, right? (wasn't in the pic).

I'd say if you priced it at 1200 it would fetch an offer. I'm not saying its not worth more, but objectively offering an opinion based on what I see used 535's going for.

I'd like to add that 1200 is the # for actual sale price, so if you ask 1250-1300 and come down to 1200 for the sale. The higher the asking price, the fewer inquiries. Of course, fielding the inquiries and dealing with lowballers is the downside of selling anything.

depends on how quickly you want to move it....at $1200 it will prob go pretty quick, but its prob worth more....start at 1500 and entertain offers

Hey Randy, yep. Got the Blueberry burst. I won't sell it. It's just too beautiful. Maybe I won't end up selling this guitar either. It just plays great, keeps good tune, and it seems almost tuned to feedback in E and A. When you get this guitar cooking you get air blowing out of those F holes and it has that controlled feedback that just kills.

Ugggh. Who knows. I would love to hear/see the Blueburst with silver hardware and Tone pros. That would sure help me decide if the 535 is something I can live without.
