skydog Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 I am thinking of rewiring my 555 w/o a master volume or master tone. Assign one volume and one tone pot to one pickup and one volume and one tone pot to the second pickup. Any possible drawbacks to this? I really don't like the master setup.

Kuz Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 Maybe I am missing something. Your guitar from the factory has one volume for bridge and one volume for Neck (same one tone for Bridge & one tone for neck). So aren't you already wired the way you want to be?
GuitArtMan Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 I'm with Kuz, standard wiring is one volume one tone for each pickup. How is your's wired now?
skydog Posted December 6, 2009 Author Posted December 6, 2009 Looking at the guitar from the front the V & T knobs on the right are Masters.
Spectrum13 Posted December 6, 2009 Posted December 6, 2009 Looking at the guitar from the front the V & T knobs on the right are Masters. Sdog, Then what do the V & T knobs on the left control?
GuitArtMan Posted December 6, 2009 Posted December 6, 2009 Looking at the guitar from the front the V & T knobs on the right are Masters. Weird. Stock is (looking at the guitar): Top Right: neck volume Bottom Right: bridge volume Top Left: neck tone Bottom Left: bridge tone
