pegleg32 Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 I received my Reicter 5E3-G yesterday and it is one very fine amp. But I got started cruising amps and I can't stop!!!! I ran across the Epiphone Valve Senior amp and it looks interesting. I'm wondering if any one has played one and what they thought. Muscians Friend has it at $360: http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product...-Amp?sku=620579
Dick Seacup Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 Never played one. But, for that kind of money, you could get a vintage Gibson Gibsonette/Discoverer, or a Peavey Delta Blues 210, or a Fender Blues Junior, or a...what? No, I haven't been looking at amps, why do you ask?!
rjsanders Posted December 6, 2009 Posted December 6, 2009 ... But I got started cruising amps and I can't stop!!!! ... good thing for you that that Brit II's available and so bargainy (love mine)
myway Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 I played one about a month ago. It really was not my thing. It seemed a little lifeless, kind of generic sounding. I found many of it's price point competitors to be a better sound. The Epi Blues Custom sounded better but was a little more expensive. Along with the Peavey classic series. They sounded much better.

pegleg32 Posted January 11, 2010 Author Posted January 11, 2010 I am no longer considering this amp. Just wanted to say thanks to the folks who posted.
