Jazzpunk Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 Gorgeous top! I feel really blessed to have been able to pick up a new 575 this year. It's more guitar than my meager chops deserve!
tulk1 Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 Doesn't do much for me with the multi-colored finish scheme. But if you like it, thats cool. Guess that's why they make them in so many different finishes.
brentrocks Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 i'm not real hot on the black/nat thing...but it is a cool guitar
rjsanders Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 oh, no...that led me to Jay's new 137DC...e-mail sent...
pegleg32 Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 oh, no...that led me to Jay's new 137DC...e-mail sent... I've been drooling over the Korina 137 with the fat 50's neck. It just screams my name.
Tim Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 Sweet guitar for sure, but I'm quite happy with mine....
FredZepp Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 Quite Stunning... An attention grabber , to be sure. I really like it and imagine in person this is a very cool looking fiddle.
tulk1 Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 oh, no...that led me to Jay's new 137DC...e-mail sent... Uh, care to elucidate on that statement just a bit there, young man?
ronalr Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 That is a nice one...but since I got the 2002 575 earlier this year and I just got the 157 a few weeks ago, my wife is holding on to my wallet for now we need to start a treatment plan or one of us should be a counselor....you know like AA...we could call that person when we feel the urge.....Hmmmm...I don't think anyone here would be to sympathetic with that
Lionheart Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 Hmmm....it's an interesting guitar, but I don't know how I feel about it yet. Generally speaking, more than one color on a guitar tends to screw with my brain (excluding pickguards and other doo-dads).
barrymclark Posted December 11, 2009 Author Posted December 11, 2009 I might be in a minority here, but this choice of colors just makes everything on the 575 work for me.
rjsanders Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 Uh, care to elucidate on that statement just a bit there, young man? well, as i told Jay, i'm a sucker for a pretty, symmetric (or close-to) double-cut. my 137 is outstanding, but i'm a-jonesin' on the new 137DC and 170s... Jay's responded already & i sent a follow-up "and now back to our thread, which is already in progress"...-paraphrase Firesign Theatre
tbonesullivan Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 Eh... not my cup of tea. my favorite color is still the almond sunburst.
Foggy Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 I'm not normally a two-tone kinda guy, but there's something about that one I really like. If it had a bound neck and headstock my bank account might be in jeopardy!
Jazzpunk Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 I might be in a minority here, but this choice of colors just makes everything on the 575 work for me. Well, on the bright side, looks like she'll still be available by the time you get the funds together!
Kuz Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 Steiner's 575 Blond on Walnut is still, without a DOUBT, king of the 575s (hey just my opinion)
FredZepp Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 Steiner's 575 Blond on Walnut is still, without a DOUBT, king of the 575s (hey just my opinion) Yeah, that's what I thought this was at first glance.... the trans black is just a little more ..."out there". ( and that's ok too) But yeah, I think Steiner's is the "cats meow".
cod65 Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 I love the idea of two tone, but trans black always looks (in a photo) like it was colored in with a sharpie. never seen one in person, though.
