rjsanders Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 1st gig on the ol' HB-1. used it with Heritage Colonial set up something like Plexi Superbass and small (1x10 + horn tweeter) Harbor Beach cab. great lows & other tones, never got it past 1/4 on volumes. this rig takes up about as much floor space as a small combo & is barely higher than my kneecap (and i'm barely 5'6") "hey, where's the bass amp?" "hey, where's all that bass coming from?" "hey, can we all turn down a little?"
yoslate Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 "hey, can we all turn down a little?" What a good idea! Sounds like just my kind of rig! Nice concept, rj!
rjsanders Posted December 14, 2009 Author Posted December 14, 2009 You just know this one is coming ... ... yeah, i know. but camera's defunct. hey, maybe i can do something semi-representative w/cellphone camera...will check...
rjsanders Posted December 14, 2009 Author Posted December 14, 2009 yeah, i know. but camera's defunct. hey, maybe i can do something semi-representative w/cellphone camera...will check... ok, too much coffee, but this'll give you an idea finish on the bass is only so-so, so i perked it up w/a decal of the Great Seal of the State of Iowa that's a Briton II rig behind (2x12 cab). Heritage head cabs are 24" wide
rjsanders Posted December 14, 2009 Author Posted December 14, 2009 Nice setup, looks very portable yeahman. the Harbor Beach cab, another fine product of Michigan, is the first of its kind sold commercially. i originally chose it for living room use with all instruments (it supposedly with take "hundreds" of watts rms - i'm still waiting on the specs, but i "helped" test a couple prototypes using a '64 Showman head - fully cranked ). not recommended for those who dig speaker distortion. two of these would make a heckuva P.A. rig and they're considering ways to make them pole-mountable for that purpose. it weighs less than the head, i'd guess 20-25lbs. anyway, i got the furniture treatment & a pick of grilles from a catalog put out by a handicapped lady in Arizona. looks like an old Crosley radio grille. woodwork done by C.B. Perkins, our local Heritage dealer. so, that's an HB w/an HB
tulk1 Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 So .... you used the Heritage bass .... into a Colonial head (guitar amp) .... into a super duper speaker cab ... and that was your bass rig. Is that it? Cool beans!
