Gitfiddler Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 OK, it's almost Christmas and we're a little slow on 'hot topics' of late. Last night I changed the strings and polished up my Golden Amber 555...cranked up the SF Deluxe Reverb and entered tonal Nirvana for a few hours. That's what inspired this new thread. So how about a purely self-indulgent thread to show off all of the cool H555's that are out there?! Pull them out of the cases and closets. Take a shot and post it here...and please tell us a little about your 'Triple Nickel' I'll start with a couple of porn shots of the only Heritage I ever bought brand new...She's a blonde bomb-shell, loaded with HRW's and ultra woods, and one piece Mahogany neck. Since taking this photo I added a custom-engraved pearl truss rod cover and gold reflector knobs to finish 'pimping' her out. I gig regularly with this baby...but very carefully! . tulk1 Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 I almost got lost just staring into the wood of that guitar. It must be totally mesmerizing in person. Not generally a fan of natural finish guitars. But ... yowzers!!! What beauty. And HRW's to boot! Neato.
LH575 Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 Nive guitars, but pretty damn hard to unload!
Gitfiddler Posted December 16, 2009 Author Posted December 16, 2009 Nive guitars, but pretty damn hard to unload! I hear ya, brother. In this economy, it seems higher end gits are barely moving at all...or lowball offers abound. Hang on if you can. The market will come back.
fxdx99 Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 Smile - hey, I'm all for triple-nics. But tough act to follow w/that beauty natural finish!! The one below has a pretty special place in my tool box, tho...

The one below has a pretty special place in my tool box, tho... I gotta say, that is one beautiful instrument, fxdx99. I've admired pictures of it before (ALSB, I assume?), and, meaning no disrespect to all the other gorgeous 555's out there, that's the one I'd have if I could pick one. When I eventually get a 535, I want it to look pretty much just like that!
smurph1 Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 where's my drool cup? It's a toss up, I would glady take either of those 555's.. (If I had the funds of course)
skydog52 Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 here's mine Double B. Nice. I think one of the best part of these 555s are the inlays.
big bob Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 Double B. Nice. I think one of the best part of these 555s are the inlays. mine has a rather unique body

tulk1 Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 Hmmmm, thinking a couple of yous guys was either sped reddin' or just don't understand the "Triple Nickel" or "H555" connection.
