brentrocks Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 Jhack... Does the guitar say in tune? Does it intonate proporly? Does it play the way you like it to? I dont think Jkacks intention here was to start a "lets point out all the things that Heritage does wrong" bashing section? Com 'on!!!!
brentrocks Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 you know what...im gonna order a new Heritage next week to show that a NEW Heritage can be "all that" can i get a AMEN???
iim7v7im7 Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 Hopefully the answer to your questions from the initial poster is yes. Also, I did not think I was starting "lets point out all the things that Heritage does wrong" bashing section. I was pointing out that his instrument's situation was not unique and let him know a remedy in case he had encountered the same issues that I did. Kind of valuable information. I will let the original poster speak for themselves as to their intention for posting. For a guitar of this price it is inadmissible. I think that if I lived of the highly-rated of Miami I would have returned it, that also it is "charm" of the mail order buying.....I do not think that shall renew the experience. Jhack... JeffB Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 Every forum Ive visited lately seems to have threads about guitars with problems. PRS, Gretsch, gibson,Tele.....etc. I personally had a few issues with my own PRS. The wrong fretboard being the most obvious!!!! wanted maple got rosewood!!! I just dont care anymore. Shit happens in every industry and every manufacturer puts out flawed products. Its not just in manufacturing shit happens either. In the last few months Ive been given flawed service by doctors, lawyers, accountants and even my local mechanic slipped up after years of great work. Oh and Brent..... Amen!!
pegleg32 Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 Amen, and actually I don't care about all the tricky little arguments, I STILL like it.

brentrocks Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 WOW! That one's going to have the needle on the cool and mojo meter going off the chart! I was trying to get something well rounded, sweet looking and keep costs down all at the same time. Was gonna order a H 110...but i think i can get into the 137 for at least $500 less.

Thundersteel Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 Dayum! More nut issues. Now, tuner holes drilled incorrectly. What's next? If my new Heritage had those issues, they would get sent right back to the dealer. So, where am I going with this? Well, I have been thinking about buying either an H535 or H555. But with these glaring defects, which seem to be on the increase, I'm now leaning towards a Hamer Newport.
smurph1 Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 Might be all the psychedelics I took when I was younger but the longer I stare at that pic the more it looks like a an evil robot panda. ROFL!!!
smurph1 Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 Brent..I am so Jealous!! I just love the stripped down vibe of the 137 TV's..With the Lollar P-90's to boot..I guess i better start selling plasma!!

Today I decided to write to Jay Wolfe and to Heritage, we shall see if it answer me.
hiro Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 LOL EVIL ROBOT PANDA!!! Oh man, made my day! Thanks guys. In 20 years, that little mistake will be a vintage MUCH sought after feature, just like the 11 knobs. Also how does it sound? That's what is the main case when purchasing a guitar. My friends dad had told me this story (the guy grabbed my shoulders even to emphasize this) when I was a teen, how he got a fender telecaster but there was issues, the neck pu didn't line up, there was deep chips in the head stock. But the tone was so sweet. However he couldn't get out of head the imperfections of the guitar. So he sold it . . . and was still looking for guitar that made that twang tone when he died. He told me to never sell a guitar "because of its looks", and if it sounds right, "Keep it!" I wasn't even into guitars or anything and just thought the old guy was nuts. UNtil I started playing (many years later).
