Ray Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 Could anyone please tell me what model the attached guitar is? Thank you.
SouthpawGuy Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 Looks like the one listed here : http://www.heritageownersclub.com/forums/i...?showtopic=7158 ? Now that you mention it it does look more like a Super Eagle with the two non floating pickups, but the inlays are not split. The tail piece is also different. It could have been a custom order. ================== "Super Eagle Specs: Neck - 17 degree peghead pitch; five-piece curly maple neck; multiple bound head veneer inlaid with mother of pearl eagle and branch . MOP truss rod cover , engraved with owner's name. Fingerboard - Multiple-bound 25 1/2” scale ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl split block inlays; 20 frets. Radius is 12". Nut width is 1-11'16" Body - Single cutaway solid carved spruce top solid carved curly maple back and solid curly maple rims; multiple-bound top and back; single white bound f-holes. body size: rim thickness - 3” body width - 18” body length - 20 7/8” Electronics - Two gold humbucking pickups. Steiner Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 Could anyone please tell me what model the attached guitar is? Thank you. Have the owner measure th elower bout. If 17", it's a Golden Eagle. If it's 18", It's a Super Eagle. I'd imagine the owner knows enough to read the label inside the body and has listed it as a Golden Eagle. She's mighty pretty! Are you moving in on the kill?
ingeneri Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 It looks that might be a larger 18" Super Eagle bout to me as well. The "custom" tailpiece is from a Gibson L5. Whic has a 17" boutike the Eagle Classic.

DC Ron Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 I'm with Matt on those hips! A Big Girl.... Just noticed the selector switch is in a different locale, though...earlier Supers have that on the bottom? Looks like a Super to me. These two models do get confused and custom features don't make it easier. Interesting story...my Super was advertised as a Golden Eagle on eBay. The tailpiece clearly said "Super Eagle" but the seller said the label said "Golden Eagle" and confirmed (twice) that it was a 17" wide body. It had a floating pickup and x-bracing so was not to catalogue specs in at least that respect. After I won the auction the seller said he was wrong, it was a Super...would I like to cancel the sale? Appears to be a nice guitar at a very nice price. Good luck!
