Various members asked me to post pictures of my new guitar once I picked it up. Well, today I picked it up.

I'm told the top finish is Chestnut Sunburst. I think it's very attractive.

Very nice lookin' axe there. It just begs to be played..

I'd have that one on a stand and pick it up every time that I walked by...

I'm sure a nice tone is to be had from that one....

That's actually a guitar chair. It's by Roc N' Soc and is fully adjustable. I highly recommend it for anyone with lower back problems, or even a sore butt.

Here's a pic of my "studio". If you're wondering, that's my Gibson L4-A. It's a Jumbo based on the J-180 EC.

Right now, she sounds like crap!

That's because I only have an acoustic amp. It's a Marshall AS50R. While I love it with my Gibson, it just doesn't work well with the Millie.

Fortunately though, I spent some time yesterday with one of Elderly's people looking at amps. We plugged the Millie in to various amps that were there (I especially liked a Vibrolux silverface) and settled on the Fender Blues Junior in case the sound through my acoustic Marshall didn't work out. To my ear, it delivered much of the Vibrolux tone at greatly reduced sound levels -which I'll need at home.

So when I got the guitar home and couldn't dial in good sound through the Marshall, I logged on to the gear page and found a slightly used Blues Junior for sale -which I promptly bought.

It should arrive later in the week.

I've been playing through a blues Junior for years..They are great because you can play quietly at home, but I've used in in a full band situation and it had plenty of balls..Plus they are cheap!!
