Lionheart Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Hi Folks, Last week, I posted that I had purchased my first Heritage from Guitar Center in Charlotte, NC (used) Roy Clark model. It arrived about an hour ago, and below are some pics. Still has the original warranty card with Wolfe Guitars number on the back. Serial number on the back of the headstock is "K01904". It has a set of gold tuners in the guitar case, and my guess is that they were the original. Also, there are 2 star shaped "thingys" that look like they screw into something. I have no idea what they are for. Feel free to post comments or ideas! FredZepp Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Oh Yeah, verrrry nice. a beautiful top and just a sweet axe all the way around. Oh and congrats on the stars... you are obviously a General of some sort now...
Lionheart Posted January 7, 2010 Author Posted January 7, 2010 I actually haven't plugged it in yet, so I don't know how it sounds - when it arrived, the low E string broke so I have to change the strings out.

DC Ron Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Nice! I have one of these in antique natural and I love it. Is it just the photo, or are the tuners at different angles?
Lionheart Posted January 7, 2010 Author Posted January 7, 2010 Is it just the photo, or are the tuners at different angles? The tuners are at different angles. The original tuners are still in the case, so I'll probably have those put back on again.
Mikenov Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 That's a nice looking guitar. And I think the boys in Kalamazoo have a soft spot for the Roy Clark model too and they tend to get the cream of the crop. Congrats! I bet that will be one versitile guitar. Hopefully you got a great deal on it!
pegleg32 Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Lovely guitar. Of course now you have to play like it's namesake!!!
fxdx99 Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Congrats - I like the Roy Clark model and that looks like a good one. I'll guess that the stars are packaging/extras from the aftermarket tuners on the guitar (since both gold with star patterns). Can't say as I've ever seen stars associated w/Heritage guitars. Get those strings changed and enjoy!
111518 Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 Pretty guitar. I don't think the headstock (looks like a 550) and ebony board are standard for that model --one of Wolfe's custom orders, I suspect. (Couldn't confirm, since the Roy Clark is not pictured on the current Heritage site.) 212mavguy is right, the stars are strap buttons. I've seen them advertised, and checked on the MF site to confirm. (seach Grover stap button).
ronalr Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 I like it!!...that is a great looking guitar ...can't wait to get your sound report...congratulations
conorb Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 Very nice; congratulations. I just received my first Heritage as well. I guess I should take some pics. conorb

Lionheart Posted January 9, 2010 Author Posted January 9, 2010 She's off to Mouradian guitar tomorrow for a set up and to have the original tuners put back on. After it gets back, I'll plug her into my recording software and follow wherever she takes me. I'll post the journey.
