fxdx99 Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 Double-wow. Beautiful, John. And her sound/voice thru the vintage-vib is...?
big bob Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 You better get a bucket of water, looks like somebody lit your chair on fire.
Hfan Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 Beautiful, congratulations on the new arrival. I've got one same finish, your top is a little nicer I think. Mine has the bottom piece that holds the strings (whatever its called) with the H in script on it. Like your style better. I love the curved finger board, not sure why they do it, is that common for Jazz boxes? What p ups? I have seth lovers ..sound great. Watch the feed back...mine loves to howl..solid top and hollow I guess. Once again best of luck with the new toy.
blueox Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 If it plays and sounds half as good as it looks, you've got a winner.
Tim Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 Magnificent! Just like mine, except I've got Bill Lawrence Wilde's...plays like butter, very difficult to put down and spend some time with family...
yoslate Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 Another stunner in the Kuz Collection! Bound! Blocks! Perfect color! You never miss, John!
FredZepp Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 I think the most common response to this one is... WOW. And it seems the most appropriate also... That is a thing of beauty, it probably won't spend much time in the case. It's too inviting to pick it up or.. just to look at it. And great job on the pics also.. Congrats, Kuz.
111518 Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 Very striking guitar; the amber and the ebony really set off the beauty of the maple. Congrats.
golferwave Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 Oh my! What a stunner...an appropriate addition to your collection. Congrats and enjoy!
brentrocks Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 after seeing your pics...i almost wish i had done the 137 Deluxe in that color!
Steiner Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 Yea Baby!!! They're so cute when they're young. Congratulations on a stunning guitar! May she serve you well
Gitfiddler Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 Kuz, that's not only one of my favorite finishes, but your photography skills really brought out the beauty of that git!!!!!!!!
Ray Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 What a BEAUTY! Congrats, Kuz. What pick ups did it come with? I am sure it sounds as wonderful as it looks. Have fun playing it.
JeffB Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 Very nice. That finish really leaps out. Sweet.
Kuz Posted January 16, 2010 Author Posted January 16, 2010 Well, because I still do love my family (human family, not guitar family), I HAVE YET TO EVEN PLUG HER IN!!!!!!! (Both boys have basketball today and Baseball camp tomorrow so I spent most of the day hunting down catcher's gear) -But I did completely disassemble her (took all strings off, took finger-rest off, took bridge off) and gave her a MUCH needed cleaning & polishing. -I then straighten the neck and lowered the action to 4/64th on both lower & high Es -I put gold Schaller strap locks on her -Tuned to pitch and played "Autumn Leaves" acoustically........ BOTTOM LINE....... It is GOOD TO HAVE A HERITAGE ARCHTOP BACK IN THE STABLE!!!!! (Tone report & the Good news/Bad news to come later tonight after I plug her in!!!)
Kuz Posted January 16, 2010 Author Posted January 16, 2010 Oh, sorry she has Seth Lover's in her, but like I said I have yet to plug her in. I also need to adjust the intonation since I took the bridge off and adjusted the action.
ronalr Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 Kuz......that is one of the best ...no the best looking 575 I have seen...congratulations .....outstanding pictures also..can't wait to hear how she sounds.....
Ray Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 Looking forward to hearing your good news report on how she sounds etc.
skydog52 Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 Kuz That is one of the most beautiful displays of mother nature at her best. What a stunning display of woods beauty. Congrats. Look forward to tone reports.
