EdPero Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Hi everyone I'm Eddy, I'm a musician living in Paris France and I LOVE Heritage guitars. I started with a H-150 10 years ago and now I have a H-575 (modified, now it looks like a 525 / 575) : ...and I bought few days ago the most beautiful 355-like I have ever seen to a nice amateur of jazz... and this baby looks mint whereas it was bought initially in 1997 ! Here it is, my H-555 : Let me know what you think about those instruments. Do you know the name of those colors ? Have a nice day and I wish you a happy new year ! Eddy
mark555 Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Welcome Eddy, good to know you can get Heritage guitars in France... your guitars are very nice indeed. The 555 may well be almondburst, but one or two of the guys here may correct that, I do not know what finish your 575 is. I shall look forward to reading your posts as you join in with us.
Gitfiddler Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Eddie~ Welcome to the HOC!! All I can say about your two Heritages is WOW! They are beautiful indeed. I think the H575 is a dark Vintage Burst, but the subtle quilt figure is stunning. I agree with Mark555 that you H555 appears to be Almond Burst.
FredZepp Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Very nice !!! Those are two of the nicest Heritage guitars , you have good taste. If you check the label inside the guitars , it likely has a 3 or 4 letter code that indicates the finish... Thank you for posting the pics... we love to see them. I'm sure that many musicians in France ask you about them , when they see the stunning beauty of these guitars.
JeffB Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Welcome to the HOC Eddy. Two very nice looking Heritages. Thanks for posting pics.
jaywolfe Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Eddy; Congratulations on having 2 very fine hand made Heritage's. Your H575 is quite interesting, and it's finish is "ASB" or Antique Sunburst. The H555 is indeed Almond Sunburst. I have family in Paris. Jay Wolfe
golferwave Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Welcome to the HOC Eddy. Those are two very fine Heritage guitars you have. Thanks for posting the pictures.
yoslate Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 NICE, Eddy, and welcome! I love the 575...it looks as if it's been P L A Y E D ! Just as it should be! I always love the patina of honest wear.
pegleg32 Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Welcome to the HOC Eddy. Would love to hear clips of those beauties.

Eddy Welcome Eddy..I bet the pickups on the 575 sound awesome! I love the P-90 Humbucker combination..Especially when the p-90 is in the neck position..
EdPero Posted January 18, 2010 Author Posted January 18, 2010 Guys ! Thanks a lot for your friendly answers. It's good to be welcomed as you did to me ! I'm not used to that in french forums where people are sacarstic and envious. I don't know, maybe it's the crisis that makes people feel agressive and stupid. Anyway, I'm really happy to join the HOC ! About my 575, I bought it on ebay few years ago and I was VERY lucky on this one because it's a very nice sounding instrument, even unplugged. I decided to change the Schaller because I wanted an opened and brighter sound. I choosed a french guy who makes pick ups with all the traditional specifications, I mean, his 59 or his P-90 are real 59 and P-90 like they used to do at Gibson's. I regret a bit about the P-90, to me you have to play it, let it rust and drink your sweat during 40 years and then it sounds amazing ! I have a very nice Gibson Les Paul SG Junior 62 with an old P-90 that sounds round, warm, ready to rock and even to jazz ! About the H-555, I think it's one of my best guitars. Very nice and slim neck, amazing sound... jazz on clean or woman tone on drive with the neck, incisive and incendiaire with the bridge. I mean, I really feel I can play ANYTHING with this guitar !! Is there a way I can here how your guitars sound ? Or to put mp3 (or vids) of my recordings on my babies ? Have a nice day (or night) and I wish you all the best, Eddy
