FredZepp Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 The clean sound was really nice. Seemed well defined And the dirty had a nice sustain.. what did you use for that?
brentrocks Posted January 20, 2010 Author Posted January 20, 2010 Righteous tone their Brently!! Tune up, turn on, and blow a hole in the mother-rucker!! thanks man....the Green Giant ROCKS!!! The clean sound was really nice. Seemed well definedAnd the dirty had a nice sustain.. what did you use for that? that is straight amp.....the Rivera R55 through a 4X12...no pedals, well, the BBE sonic maximizer....i guess that is one FX....LOL thanks man!!!
pro-fusion Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 Nice score. Beautiful guitar, and great tone! I've only tried Bill Lawrence pickups in Jackson guitars, and they were way too trebly. Sound good in your guitar, though. If you want to take off some of the edginess, I've heard that 250k pots work great with those pickups.
tbonesullivan Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 NICE SOUND!!! I wish I could get that kinda sound outta my guitars and amps. The clean maybe, but my Carvin X-100B can't match that level of gain. The MP-1 I have can though, but I'm trying to sell that thang.
RhoadsScholar Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 I MISS IT ALREADY. Ever since I got my GOLD H-170 CM (#1), I have rarely played this. I also have another H150 in cherry sunburst. I am glad it went to a heritage club owner as I needed cash for another transaction. Worked out for both of us..... Here is a youtube of the Green Giant in action (bad imitation of EVH, but it was my friends 40th birthday). Played through a CyberTwin with Marshall type settings... pardon some of the sloppy playing. Flashes of brilliance Though. At least I will know where to find it when I win the Lotto .... Thanks Again BRETROCKS ! all the best a.k.a. rhoadsscholar
Steiner Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 CLEAN: http://picosong.com/3Rq/ Dirty: http://picosong.com/3RC/ WTF's up with this?!!! I figure the Swedish porn is back and click on the dirty link. There's a guy with a green guitar (ok, so far - sets the mood) and it doesn't morph in the "natural" way. Wow! What happened to truth in advertising? By the by... Nice work Brent!
conorb Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 Very nice; you're two for two. Keep 'em coming. conorb

mark555 Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 USPS + flight in large aircraft = Heritage in Ireland ! Just sayin' absolutely right, but I was meaning that we can't get our hands on these before we buy.
RhoadsScholar Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Well BRETROCKS. It didn't take long, and the guy lowered his price. By selling you the jolly green giant, I was able to get one of the first production H-170 guitars for about the same price so I am stoked. I have one of the first 170's , and the 1st production h170(chambered ALL GOLD) which I picked up November 18th 2008 (A 1985, and a 2008) ... It worked out for both of us. ENJOY the Green Heritage 150. I don't feel so bad as there was only about a $50 price difference. ALL IS WELL. Love it when things come together.
