smurph1 Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 Just got my new Grover Rotomatic 18:1 tuners for my 140 this morning..Can't wait to put em on and enjoy some proper tuning..Cheers Scott..
tbonesullivan Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 they are quite nice. I have a new set in my 535. hopefully they hold up better than the 14:1 rotomatics they replaced, but those looked like they had been kept in a damp basement for years.
GuitArtMan Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 Hope they do the trick for ya. These have become my favorite tuners: http://www.toneproskluson.com/
tbonesullivan Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 those ARE nice. The only big issue with the I have is with the "locking" version. To preserve the vintage look on the back, they had to put the locks on the top of the tuning posts, instead of inside, which looks kinda weird.

If your nut is properly cut and your string the guitar right, you don't need them. No locking tuner is gonna help if you're binding at the nut.
